The Letter Game

Have you ever played the letter game?

Begin by finding a writing partner and deciding upon a place and time for your story to begin. Then write a letter from the character of your creation. The second partner will then respond from the point of view of their character. This charade can last as long as you like.

You never know you may come up with.

Happy Writing!
Cindy

SCBWI updates

Writers and illustrators of children's books take note!

A "Revision" retreat is being held April 30-May 2, 2010 in Ashton, Idaho.
If you're working on something and are ready for some serious work on your draft, this promises to be an invaluable experience.

Registration is now open for the SCBWI's annual Boise conference. It will be held September 11, 2010 at Boise State University. I strongly recommend getting involved in a writer's support network like SCBWI. They're lovely people and are working together to improve the craft.

See the SCBWI regional website for details.
